iPRIDE4Fish

Institute of Productivity, Research, Innovation, and Development for Fisheries

About Us

As part of establishing linkage between SSNS and postgraduate education program at JFU, and to follow-up recommendation by the United Nation for Industrial Development (UNIDO) based on the meeting decision in July 2018, the establishment of a centre of excellence focusing on sustainable aquaculture and fisheries development has been envisaged. Thus, in August 2017, a new centre of excellence (CoE) called the “Institute of Productivity, Research, Innovation and Development for Fisheries (iPRIDE4fish)” was established by the Jakarta Fisheries University.

Formal launch of the CoE has been announced at the Seafood Asia Show in Jakarta on 23 November 2018. The iPRIDE4Fish was established to embrace vast potential of Indonesian fisheries resources which are key assets in boosting both the national economy and the welfare of the people.

Strategically located in the capital of Indonesia, the iPRIDE4Fish promotes productivity improvement, relevant research, innovation and development to meet the needs of academic institutions, industry, government and the community.

Currently, the IPRIDE4Fish is working closely with several national and international organizations such as Indonesian Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, Indonesian Ministry of Manpower, NPO Indonesia, UNIDO, Institute of Productivity (IoP), Asian Productivity Organization (APO), SECO, EU Erasmus +, International Association of Fish Inspectors (IAFI), University of Tasmania, Nebula Consulting, and World Confederation of Productivity Science (WCPS).

With collaborative partners around the globe, the iPRIDE4fish will play a major role in modelling fisheries business excellence and renovating management through productivity.
